Built by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie in 1891, it is one of the most prestigious venues in the world for music, both classical and popular.

With over 3,600 seats divided among its three auditoriums, you can catch a wide variety of performances including orchestra, opera, classical guitar and sometimes dance.

Occasionally, rock acts will perform from Bob Dylan in 1961 to the Flaming Lips in 2011.

Carnegie Hall is divided in to three musical areas; Stern Auditorium, Zankel Hall and Weill Recital hall and is also home to Rose Museum. The museum is part of The History of Carnegie Hall, an exhibit that looks back on music and events since opening and is free to enter.
